The Power of Peacemaking
with Greg Heffron

Fri February 15th: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PMSat February 16th: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Price: $95 Non-Member

Based on the material in Acharya Susan Chapman's "The Five Keys to Mindful Communication," THE POWER OF PEACEMAKING will explore the four ways that aggressive speech escalates into conflict: 1) criticism/complaint, 2) divisiveness, 3) blame and 4) retaliation. Using the powers of mindful conversation we can interrupt our own ‘red light’ patterns at each step to bring greater openness and gentleness to our relationships and communities. The workshop will include short talks, small group dialogues, Mudra Space Awareness exercises and mindfulness meditation to help us rediscover our authentic heart in the midst of challenging and painful communication.

As gesture of friendship, the San Diego Shambhala Center is offering this program for free to its members. Members should register for the program but do NOT need to continue to paypal for payment.

The program schedule is:

Friday evening 7-9pm

Saturday 9am-5pm

A break will be provided on Saturday for lunch. You are welcome to bring your own lunch.
